Supporting Local Cat Shelters and Non-Profits

At Pettobox, we are committed to improving the lives of cats with our products, but we can't do it alone. There are great organizations embedded in communities working tirelessly to provide shelter and services to cats and kittens. To celebrate and support their amazing work, Pettobox has donated a small supply of Catbuzz to help bring joy to these cats and to the dedicated staff and volunteers that work there.

The Dancing Cat

The Dancing Cat, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is a cat adoption lounge located near downtown San José, California. The Dancing Cat’s mission is to find homes for at-risk adult cats from the San José Animal Care Center by giving those cats an open, cage-free environment in which they can mingle with people and other felines.

For a nominal admission donation of $10 per person, guests are invited to spend an hour with these adoptable cats in a relaxing, living room-like environment. Your $10 donation goes toward the continued care and feeding of our adoptable cats. The organization, run almost entirely by volunteers, exists thanks to guests’ and partners’ continued generosity.

Silicon Valley Pet Project

The Silicon Valley Pet Project was founded in November of 2014 and is a San Jose based organization. Inspired by the innovative spirit of Silicon Valley, our goal was to create a professional, sustainable animal welfare organization that celebrates rescue pets.

SVPP is a rescue partner with the San Jose Animal Care Center (SJACC), Silicon Valley’s largest municipal animal shelter. SVPP rescues, rehabilitates and rehouse both cats and dogs of all breeds, as well as senior and special-needs pets, that are at risk of euthanasia. These animals may need medical or behavioral care. We value our partnership status with the San Jose Animal Care Center and work closely with them on special-needs cases.

Rescued pets are fostered and nurtured in volunteers’ homes in the Bay Area. SVPP’s growing network of compassionate and skilled volunteers provide individualized support and advice to these foster families every step of the way.

St. Francis Animal Protection Society

At St. Francis Animal Protection Society, they engage, educate, and empower our community in the fight against overpopulation, cruelty, and neglect. they strive for a day when Northern California's cats and dogs—friendly or feral—are happy, healthy, and ‘home’. As a community-run nonprofit, their work is funded entirely through charitable donations. they focus on dogs and cats at highest risk, regardless of age, breed, or medical condition. And they do what it takes at all costs -- whether that means medical testing, treatment, and training or compassion, care, and companionship. Because we believe every animal deserves to live a happy, healthy life.
